What is Sanskritization?

Ans:  Sanskritization or Sanskritisation is a particular form of social change found in India. It denotes the process by which castes placed lower in the caste hierarchy seek upward mobility by emulating the rituals and practices of the upper or dominant castes. It is a process by which a low caste or a tribe or other group changes its customs, rituals, ideology, and a way of life in the direction of a high and frequently, twice born caste.

 

  1. What is caste system?

Ans:  The caste system is a classification of people into four hierarchically ranked castes called varnas. They are classified according to occupation and determine access to wealth, power, and privilege.

 

  1. What is working capital?

Ans:  Funds are also needed for short-term purposes for purchase of raw materials, payment of wages and other day-to-day expenses etc. These funds are known as working capital which is also known as Revolving or circulating capital or short term capital. According to Shubin, “Working capital is amount of funds necessary to cover the cost of operating the enterprise”. Working Capital = Current Assets – Current Liabilities

 

  1. What is social accounting?

Ans:  Social accounting can be defined as a set of organisational activities that deals with the measurement and analysis of the social performance of organisations and the reporting of results to concerned groups, both within and outside the organisation.
